Exclusive nagpapatrol, Australia Bureau Chief Gigi Grande.

An Australian is using his internet blog in his attempt to seek justice after he as allegedly tricked and scammed by his former Filipino boyfriend. Australian Bureau Chief, Gigi Grande has this exclusive.

This three bedroom house on top of a rainforest and a twelve hectare land for his flower business is what Brian Gorrell, an Australian sold when he decided to settle in the Philippines. As to what happened to his money is at the center of his blog that’s being closely followed by Filipinos all over the world. A blog is an online diary that anyone with internet access can access. In Brian’s blog he wrote how he allegedly sent seventy thousand dollars to his Filipino ex-boyfriend, who is a famous socialite and a columnist for a leading newspaper. The money was supposed to be used to put up a restaurant and a tour booking company. It was too late when he found out that he was tricked.

Brian Gorrell: I sent this money in good faith. I sent this money for my future…haha…for my business that we were creating together. This is money that I need back so I can move on with my life.

According to SiteMeter, an webtracking too, his blog has received almost two million page views since it was setup on March 4. Gorrell has been receiving thousands of messages of support from his readers. Filipino readers are probably hooked to his blog probably because of Brian’s telenovela/soap opera like tales about the friends of his ex-boyfriend who are members of high society. One of these stories is the alleged illegal drugs dealing and abuse during parties.

Brian Gorrell: I don’t write things on my blog that I can’t substantiate with proof. I’ve been there. I’ve been in the middle of it. I’ve been in the mock.

In the coming days, Brian will expose what he knows about the death of a local socialite last year.

Brian Gorrell: I’ve heared it first hand from one of the people involved. I know the truth and umm…it’s a hard one.

Gigi Grande, ABS-CBN News Sydney, Australia

Brian will have to turn over the house to its new owners in three months. He will be moving to Canada but he won’t shut down his blog until his money is returned. Blogs have been a powerful tool in business and politics. A blog can make or break a star in showbiz. No one can say if Brian will be successful, if ever he does, its just another proof of the blower of blogs. Gigi Grande, ABS-CBN News Sydney, Australia
